SEPTA Alters Buses, Trains Due to Bike Race

Because the Philadelphia International Cycling Championship , traffic is greatly alterted.

Residents in Manayuk and Roxborugh already see the barricades up, and parking restrictions throughout the neighborhoods. Bright and early Sunday morning, roads will be closed.

That means SEPTA buses that normally traverse them will be impacted.

According to SEPTA, the transit authority will nearly double its normal Sunday service—trains will run about every 30 minutes from 7:25 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

It recommends that, "Customers traveling to the race may find it most convenient to ride to Manayunk Station, near the corner of Carson & Cresson Street. This makes reaching 'The Wall' and other prime viewing spots within easy walking distance of the SEPTA station."

Bus-to-bus transfers that normally happen at Wissahickon Transfer Station will occur at Ridge and Midvale in East Falls.

Route 9

• Southbound: Regular route to Ridge & Roxborough Aveunes., then left on Roxborough Ave., right on Henry Ave., right on Midvale Ave., right on Ridge Ave., left on City Ave. ramp to I-76 East, then regular route.
• Northbound: Via I-76 westbound, right at Exit 32, take Lincoln Dr. to Gypsy Lane, right on Gypsy Lane, right on School House Lane, left on Ridge Ave., left on Midvale Ave., left on Henry Ave., left on Roxborough Ave., right on Ridge Ave., then regular route.

Route 27

• Southbound: Via regular route to Ridge & Lyceum, then via Ridge Ave. left on Roxborough Ave., right on Henry Ave., right on Midvale Ave., right on Ridge Ave., left on City Ave. ramp to I-76 East, then regular route.
• Northbound: Via I-76 westbound, right at Exit 32, take Lincoln Drive to Gypsy Lane, right on Gypsy Lane, right on School House Lane, left on Ridge Ave., left on Midvale Ave., left on Henry Ave., left on Roxborough Ave., right on Ridge Ave., then regular route.

Route 32

• Southbound: From layover point at Henry Ave. & Dupont St., via Henry St., left on Leverington St., left on Ridge Ave. to Ridge & Lyceum, then regular route to Pennsylvania Ave. & Spring Garden St., via left on Spring Garden St., right on 17th St., left on Market St., then regular route.
• Northbound: Regular route to 16th & JFK Blvd., then via right on 16th St., left on Spring Garden St., right on Pennsylvania Ave., then regular route to Ridge & Lyceum then via Ridge Ave., right on Dupont St., left on Henry St.

Route 35

• Northbound: From outside of 35th & Allegheny Loop via Allegheny, right on Ridge Ave., right on Midvale Ave., left on Henry Ave., left on Roxborough Ave., right on Ridge Ave., left on Summit Loop.
• Southbound: From Summit Loop via right on Ridge Ave., left on Roxborough Ave., right on Henry Ave., right on Allegheny Ave.

Route 61—Container Loop Div.

• Southbound: Via regular route to Main and Leverington Ave., then via left on Leverington Ave., right on Ridge Ave., left on Roxborough Ave., right on Henry Ave., right on Midvale Ave., left on Ridge Ave., then regular route.
• Northbound: Via regular route to Ridge & Midvale Aves., then right on Midvale Ave., left on Henry Ave., left on Roxborough Ave., right on Ridge Ave., left on Leverington Ave., right on Flat Rock Rd., then regular route.

Route 61—Summit Loop Div.

• Southbound: Regular route to Umbria St. & Leverington Ave., then left on Leverington Ave., right on Ridge Ave., left on Roxborough Ave., right on Henry Ave., right on Midvale Ave., left on Ridge Ave., then regular route.
• Northbound: Regular route to Ridge & Midvale Aves., then right on Midvale Ave., left on Henry Ave., left on Roxborough Ave., right on Ridge Ave., left on Leverington Ave., right on Umbria St., then regular route.

Route 65

• Northbound: Regular route to City Ave. Bridge, then via Lincoln Dr., right on Gypsy Lane, right on School House Lane, left on Ridge Ave., left on Midvale Ave., left on Henry Ave., right on Walnut Lane, then regular route.
• Southbound: Via regular route to Henry Ave. and Walnut Lane, then left on Henry Ave., right on Midvale Ave., right on Ridge Ave., left on City Ave. ramp then regular route.
