Silverwood Street Closed

Silverwood Street is closed between Hermitage and Ripka Streets because of a fallen tree in the road. 

According to a woman on the scene, the tree fell sometime overnight, she says she remembers hearing noises around 2 a.m. Saturday morning. The tree is partially covering a car that was parked on the street. 

Although there were barricades blocking the road no police or other city officials were at the scene around 12 p.m. 

A representative from the 5th District Police Department said she did not have any information regarding how long the section of the road would be closed. No one answered at the city's street's department.
