Butkovitz, Williams Win Reelection in Philadelphia

The city also votes yes on a $94 million bond question, enabling the city to borrow that much money.

Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams and City Controller Alan Butkovitz both won reelection by a wide margin on Tuesday.  

As of 10:30 p.m., Williams had captured 86,671 votes as opposed to Republican challenger Daniel Alvarez' 20,501 votes.  

Williams defeated Alvarez by 61 points, while Butkovitz beat his opponent by 65 points.

Republican city controller challenger Terrance Tracy received 18,298 votes while Butkovitz received 85,846 votes.

A bond question also passed Tuesday that will allow the city to borrow more than $94 million.  The bond received 44,451 "yes" votes and 24,510 no "votes."

All results are unofficial until they have been verified by the board of elections.
