Old Academy Players [ www.oldacademyplayers.org ], in continuous performances since 1923, is a non-profit community theater located in the East Falls (3544 Indian Queen Lane; Philadelphia, PA 19129; 215-843-1109) section of Philadelphia.  The Old Academy building was constructed in 1819 and has been the OAP home since 1932.

• Milo, a man accused of murder. 40s/50s


• Douglas, his attorney. 40s/50s


• Jasmine, ex-mistress of Milo. 30s


• Maureen, lovely sophisticated wife of Milo. 40s/50s

Waiting to Board

• Roger, weary traveler. 30s+ (any age)


• Jerry, weary traveler. 20s

• Jane, a shopper. 20s-30s

AUDITION POLICY:  Old Academy Players casts from its membership but often has open auditions for particular shows.  These auditions are open to members and to non-members.  Their dates and times will appear on this site.

As of our January 2012 production, any non-member of Old Academy who successfully auditions for a role, will, if they successfully audition for a role in a subsequent play, be expected to become a member of Old Academy before rehearsals begin.
