Neighbor to Neighbor Yark Work and Weatherization-Two Days!

Getting Ready for Winter!
  The Center at Journey’s Way: Resources and Programs for People 55+, 403 Rector St. , is offering a home-weatherization and yard work service for older adults in the Roxborough, Manayunk, and East Falls areas. Trained volunteers will visit seniors’ homes to install window plastic and do yard work.  If you would like to receive a service or know of an older adult who might benefit, call  215-487-1750 x*1005 for further information and to register.
One yard work day and one weatherization day are being held.
- The yard work event is Sat. Nov 9, 9:00 am- 1:30pm with an Oct 25    registration deadline.
- The weatherization day  is Fri Nov 22 , 1:00 pm- 5:00 pm with a Nov 8  registration deadline.  
Journey’s Way is also looking for volunteers for this important community work!  
Weatherization and yard work services are part of the Neighbor to Neighbor program, an ongoing effort by Journey’s Way to help older neighbors remain safe and secure in their homes in their communities.  Payment is by donation. 

Journey’s Way, Resources & Programs for People 55+, is a program of Intercommunity Action, a not for profit organization.  Journey’s Way offers a rich array of innovative resources and programs for Philadelphians 55+ to enrich their lives in their communities and support them through life's challenges. There are opportunities for lifelong learning, self expression, health promotion, fitness, fun and volunteering as well as services for benefits, nutrition, transportation, housing, home maintenance, caregiver support and more.
