How Christmas Impacts Philly Trash Collection

Dec. 25, Philly trash collectors get the gift of taking a day off.

Christmas is a holiday that can leave some people confused as to what city services are offered and what ones are on hold.

Trash pickup, for instance, can make Philadelphia citizens scratch their heads.

However, according to the Philadelphia Streets Department, it's not so complicated.

For the Dec 25 Christmas holiday, trash and recycling will not be collected Wednesday.

However, no one gets left in the cold. The collection day is pushed back. Wednesday's collection gets pushed back to Thursday.
