"We are moving forward on the next steps to make this Food Co-Op a reality! Anyone interested in joining an active working committee for the Manayunk-Roxborough Food Co-Op is asked to join us for a group committee kick-off meeting next week. At the meeting we will review responsibilities of each of the committees and then break apart to delegate chairs and committee structures."

Following the initial meetings, committees will gather separately, approximately once a month. The committees are steering, legal/finance, and membership/marketing.

As the whole process is in its early stages, the volunteer committees could greatly determine the nature of the co-op, and decide aspects like location, membership rules, and whether to affiliate with Weavers Way or go it alone.
