Veterans Day Ceremony To Be Held in Gorgas Park
The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. Friday.
The 21st Ward Veterans Association is hosting a Veterans Day service in Friday at 11 a.m. at the Gorgas Park War Memorial.
The service will include a call to colors followed by the pledge of allegiance, invocation, guest speakers, wreath ceremony to honor all veterans, a rifle salute, taps and a benediction.
"The restoration of the observance of Veterans Day to Nov. 11 not only preserves the historical signifigance of the date, but helps focus attention on the important purpose of Veterans Day: a celebration to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country and willingness to serve and sacrafice for the common good," a release from the 21st ward stated.
