Kids Eat Local: Han Dynasty

Know what to expect when you go out to eat with the kids.

Getting time to eat out is hard enough and sometimes bringing the kids is just part of the plan. So before you go, be sure to know if is the right pick for you and the kids.

Restaurant: Han Dynasty

Is there a kids’ menu? Yes; children can choose from a mix between Fried Rice, Lo Mein, or Rice Noodles, with a serving of Chicken, Pork, Shrimp, Beef, or their House Special

Are there healthy options? Yes; Han Dynasty’s meals are freshly cooked and most are served with white rice and exotic vegetables such as bamboo shoots, Sichuan peppercorn, and wood ear mushrooms.

How does the restaurant deal with food allergies? Let your server now about any food allergies, so that they may guide you in your choices for your child.

Is the restaurant so quiet that any childish outburst will draw attention or is there enough noise that a small cry is likely to go unnoticed? Possibly; due to the intimate dining and jazz music low in the background, an upset child may be an issue.

Is there enough room for a stroller? Yes; though the dining area isn’t very large, there is more than enough room to navigate between tables.

Is there a baby changing station in the restroom?

my daughter has a shellfish allergy, i would never take her to a chinese/japanese restaurant... do you really believe that they worry about cross contanmination??

I worked in restaurants while in college - do you really think ANYONE cares about cross-contamination? It's not just Oriental restaurants that have this issue - but when I order Chinese I order from open-kitchen model restaurants, such as Beijing Garden on Ridge, where one can see the food being prepared - I would be comfortable with being able to avoid cross-contamination allergies at such a place.
