Readers' Choice: Best Hoagie

Which place offers your favorite hoagie in the Roxborough-Manayunk area?

Few foods define Philadelphia like hoagies. The local lingo for sub or grinder, the hoagie finds many delicious homes in Roxborough and Manayunk. Although, there are many great hoagies, we want to know your go-to pick.

For this week's Patch Readers' Choice poll, we're polling for the best hoagie. We picked several options to chose from in the Roxborough and Manayunk area in our poll.

Vote for one of these great places or tell us what we missed: , , , , , , , , , , , , .

Cast your ballot for your favorite before Friday at 9 a.m. This week's winner—and all winners—are determined by the following set of rules. We've implemented a point system in which the actual votes accounts for 50 percent of the decision. How highly each business or location is rated on its Patch Directory listing accounts for the other half.

So vote for your favorite hoagie but don't forget to click on the links above and rate each place. You can also leave a review. If there is a tie, we will help break it by counting the positive comments written below about the tied businesses, so let us know why you think your choice is best.

If you prefer to go outside of the Manayunk/Roxborough area, vote for the spots in neighboring Patches: Mt. Airy,  or .

Also, if we missed your favorite spot, let us know in the comment section below and we'll add it in.

Thanks, JAL. I'll add it in.

It's still early with this poll but I am surprised at the small amount Sorrentino's has so far. Their hoagies are great.

Debbie, I always love the variety of food places in Roxborough and Manayunk. But when I'm down on Main Street and want a sandwich, I often stop by Sorrentino's.
A. Cunningham May 14, 2012 at 08:19 PM
T&F are the absolute best. Remind me of the sandwiches I used to get when I lived in South Philly. Their service is the best and their staff superb.
Vicky May 14, 2012 at 08:56 PM
T&F hoagie's are simply the best from the rest!

T&F hoagie's are the best, if you haven't tried one, you better,
Moe May 14, 2012 at 11:34 PM
Lennies are superior. Quality rolls and ingredients. Who here is old enough to remember Michael's at the corner of Leverington and Mitchell?
Crystal May 14, 2012 at 11:42 PM
T&F for sure!
Kai King May 15, 2012 at 12:13 AM
There is Only one... T&F ... Ask the Rolling Stones !
Debbie Thomas May 15, 2012 at 12:07 PM
Moe, how long ago did Michael's close? I've been in the neighborhood 13 years and it was closed when I moved in.
Moe May 15, 2012 at 01:11 PM
Debbie, Michael's closed long before you moved here. 25-30 years maybe, if not longer.

134 people in this poll have never had a Lennie's hoagie. I like T&F, but Lennie's hoagies are just better.
Sam Fran Scavuzzo (Editor) May 16, 2012 at 12:53 PM
PhillyTex, that was one of the most diplomatic Internet comments I've ever read. It made me want to eat a Lennie's hoagie.

As fat as hoagies go you can search far and wide but never find one as good as T&Fs.
David Bolles May 17, 2012 at 02:33 PM
Jeeeez, Wawa is almost in the lead. Shows how much people go out of their way to get quality in their neighborhood. Location is key too... while not far, T&F is further up Ridge than I'm used to heading but, I'm making sure to grab a bite from them this weekend!
David Bolles May 17, 2012 at 02:34 PM
But, who doesn't love a Wawa hoagie(and where else can you get one?) at midnight?
Bianca May 17, 2012 at 10:51 PM
Just because a Wawa hoagie can be easily obtained does not mean it is the best hoagie. T & F has top everything: bread, lunchmeat, cheese.
Joe Ward May 18, 2012 at 09:59 AM
T & F has always been my favorite
Mia May 18, 2012 at 01:11 PM
If Wawa is in the lead, then apparently a lot of people in Roxborough don't care about taste or quality. T & F is the best!!!
PhillyTex May 18, 2012 at 02:35 PM
Wawa was nowhere near the lead two days ago. This is surely a case of ballot box stuffing.
Ilena May 18, 2012 at 05:47 PM
I agree with you PhillyTex..and of course with Mia too...I think the "kids" in our neighborhood stayed up all night and voted for Wawa but thats ok...WE KNOW BETTER !!!!

Check out our results. The winner is more than just who gets the most poll votes. http://roxborough.patch.com/articles/winner-readers-choice-best-hoagie
