5th District Hosts Philly Police Peace Day

The event will kick-off with a cleanup of Gorgas Park followed by a barbeque.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Fifth District will host a Philly Police Peace Day on May 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Gorgas Park.

“People can come down to the park at 10 a.m.,” said Officer Charlie Kline.  “We’re going to clean up the park until about noon, and then we’re going to have a barbeque.”

Kline added that the whole community is invited, and that people are encouraged to bring a covered dish to contribute to a potluck.

“Everything should be wrapped up by three,” Kline said.  “That way it doesn’t take up your whole Saturday.”

Kline added, “It’ll just be something nice for the community.”
