$6,000 in Jewelry Taken from Apartment

A woman's jewelry is stolen from her while she spent time in the hospital.

A resident of Cathedral Village told police that someone stole more than $6,000 in jewelry from her apartment while she was in the hospital recovering from an injury.

The woman told police that she entered the hospital on Oct. 3, after she slip and fell.  The woman returned to her apartment on Nov. 9 to discover that jewelry had been taken from the dresser in her bedroom.

The woman told police that multiple persons had access to her room including relatives, nursing aids and maintenance workers.

The stolen items include four neck chains, three bracelets, three pairs of earrings, one brooch and a charm holder.
