The Lower Merion Township Police were called to the Taco Bell at 5 West City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd on the afternoon of Dec. 24 after a Philadelphia woman allegedly began setting fire to items in the bathroom.

Paulette McIntosh, 60, of the 3000 block of Fairmont Ave., Philadelphia, will be facing multiple charges as a result of her allegedly locking herself in a Taco Bell bathroom stall, setting fire to a paper towel roll and triggering a fire alarm.

When Police arrived on the scene the manager on duty notified them that McIntosh was in the bathroom in a stall and had locked the door.  Police found McIntosh in the stall with a carton of cigarettes and a half-full bottle of Black Velvet whiskey, and burnt paper products.

When police directed her to exit the stall, McIntosh became uncooperative and yelled obscenities at the officers, her speech slurred, the incident report stated.

McIntosh was placed under arrest. The police, believing her to be dangerously intoxicated, called in an ambulance for assistance. When the EMTs arrived and attempted to observe McIntosh she allegedly attempted to bite them, police reported.

Among the charges she is expected to face are public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
