Andorra Friendly's Robbed at Gunpoint, Police Say

Northwest Detective Division releases surveillance footage of Saturday armed robbery.

An unidentified man robbed the Andorra Friendly's at gunpoint early Saturday,Philadelphia Police said.

In a surveillance video released by the Northwest Detective Division, police detailed the 6:15 am. Nov. 10 armed robber at 9164 Ridge Ave.

Store employees told police an African American male entered the restaurant, pointed a small handgun to an employee's head and demanded money.

Police said the man forced all employees into the back and locked everyone in a supply closet. 

He fled in an older, dark green mini-van in an unknown direction.

Detectives described the man as a black male, 6-foot-1-inch, 160 pounds, in his mid-30s with a beard, medium complexion. In the surveillance video, he wore a blue ski hat, black hoody, dark jeans and brown boots.

Police warned that he could be armed and not to approach him. Instead, call 911.
