Andorra McDonald's Also Robbed at Gunpoint, Police Say

Nearby fast food restaurant robbed a week before Friendly's did.

Less than a week before an Andorra Friendly's was robbed at gunpoint, a nearby McDonald's was also held up, police records indicate.

Philadelphia Police say the McDonald's at 8500 Henry Ave. experienced a robbery Nov. 4 at midnight, losing about $1,800 in cash. This came six days before a similar incident down the road at the Friendly's, 9164 Ridge Ave.

Restaurant employees told police that an unknown male entered the building through an unlocked back door. Pointing a black revolver at the employee and another man, the robber demanded that they open the office safe.

Police said the men complied, and the robber left the McDonald's on foot.
