Another Local Deli Robbed at Gunpoint, This Time in Manayunk

Manayunk Deli was robbed at gunpoint Thursday afternoon.

Manayunk Deli was robbed at gunpoint Thursday afternoon, Philadelphia Police said.

Police are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect, a black man in his 30s. Police said the robbery happened at 2:30 p.m. at the deli, located on Wilde Street.

An employee told police that the man, wearing a dark colored hooded jacked, entered the store with a handgun equipped with a laser. He pointed the handgun at the employee and demanded money and cigarettes, according to police.

The man took $250 in cash and 15 packs of cigarettes, put it in a red and white plastic bag and fled the store on foot, police said. He was last seen south on Wilde Street.

Police say the man was about 5’9” with a stocky build. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, dark pants, black sneakers and white gloves. Click here to view the video on Philadelphia Police’s YouTube Channel.
