Car Wash Burglar Caught on Video

Police share surveillance tape of August break-in.

Police are looking for a late-summer burglar who broke into a Roxborough car wash.

On August 23 at 10:35 p.m., Philadelphia Police said a male smashed a backdoor and stole money from All Seasons Car Wash Lube, 6722 Ridge Ave.

Police released a surveillance video depicting the man breaking into a rear glass door. Inside, he forced open an office door, took an undetermined amount of money from a cash drawer, and fled in an unknown direction.

The video depicts the masked male kicking through an office door, rifling through the office, and stuffing money into his pocket. He later takes an entire cash drawer before fleeing.

Police described the man as a white male, 5-foot-8-inch to 5-foot-10-inch, wearing a tan ski mask, dark shirt, blue jeans, dark colored sneakers with a white, possibly a "Nike" emblem, on the side.

If anyone finds the man, police say to contact 911 immediately and not approach him.
