New Homes at Vacant Roxborough Property, Fire Site?

Former nursing home was site of two recent fires.

Roxborough could see 32 new homes on Ridge Avenue if one developer gets his plans approved.

At the Monday night Wissahickon Neighbors Civic Assocation meeting at Pilgrim Church, Stephen Goldner is slated to present plans for 32 new homes at 5627 Ridge Ave., according to civic President Andrew Bantly.

Currently abandonded, that site formerly housed the Ivy Ridge Assisted Living Home. Over the last year, that facility. No injuries were reported, but residents have suspected squatters as the cause.

According to tax records, the facility, which is comprised of several buildings, is valued at $600,000.
