Handgun Stolen from Vehicle, Police Say

A handgun was stolen from a vehicle on Green Lane.

Theft: On April 6, at approximately 9 a.m., police received a report of a theft in the 500 block of Green Lane.  According to police, a man parked his car in the rear of the post office at 6 a.m. that morning.  When he returned to his vehicle, police say that his left side door and trunk were slightly open.  Police say that a lock box was stolen from the vehicle containing one handgun and one clip loaded with 15 bullets.

Theft: On April 6, at approximately 3:29 p.m., police received a report of a theft at the SuperFresh located at 7162 Ridge Ave.  According to police, a store manager noticed a customer taking items and attempt to leave the store without paying for the items.  The attempted stolen items include ketchup, soap, deodorant and tooth paste.
