Henry Avenue at Monastary Closed Due to Flooding
A flash flood warning in effect through 6:30 p.m. Sunday for the area, according to the National Weather Service.
Police closed Henry Avenue in both directions at Monastery Avenue due to flooding on Sunday, according to a representative from the 5th Philadelphia Police district.
Police and city officials were at the scene Sunday afternoon working to clear the flooded roadway.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the Manayunk area through 6:30 p.m. Sunday night. Severe thunderstorm and flood watch warnings are also in effect through 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. Monday morning respectably.
