Hide Valuables at Wissahickon Park, Police Say

Police ask that residents not not store valuables in their cars while visiting the Wissahickon Park.

The police are asking residents who walk or jog in the Wissahickon Park, especially near Valley Green Inn, to please hide their valuables from sight before arriving at the park.

Charlie Kline from the 5th District advises park users to only bring their drivers license and registration with them on trips into the park.

He asks that if park users must bring purses, GPS systems or other valuables that those items be stored out of sight before arriving at the park.

Police also ask that residents make sure their vehicles are locked, and if the car has an alarm that it be armed.
