Hot Coffee Thrown at Parking Enforcement Officer, Police Say

A man strongly objects to his parking ticket.

Aggravated Assault: On March 21, at approximately 11:30 a.m., police received a report of an assault in the 4300 block of Main Street.  According to police, an enforcement officer with the Philadelphia Parking Authority had issued a citation for a car parked on Main Street.  The owner of the car came out of a nearby coffee shop as the citation was being issued.  Police say that the vehicle owner became irate at the enforcement officer, and the vehicle owner then threw his large cup of hot coffee at the enforcement officer.
