Police Blotter: Cresson Street Man Arrested for Axe-Threatening Incident

Aggravated assault... A Cresson Street man was arrested Dec. 22 after he chased his roommate around with an axe and knife threatening to kill him, police said, adding that the roommate was cut on his finger and thumb. 

Theft... The window of a car parked in the 8500 block of Lykens Lane was smashed between 6 p.m. Dec. 18 and 11 a.m. Dec. 19, police said, adding that a $90 box of medication was taken. 

Theft... A $650 white iPhone was stolen from Cellular Connection, 7126 Ridge Ave., Dec. 20 between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., police said. 

Theft... Between 7:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. Dec. 20, $300 was stolen from an apartment in the 7900 block of Ridge Ave., police said, adding that there were no signs of forced entry. 

Burglary... A home in the 400 block of Seville Street was entered between 10:30 a.m. Dec. 21 and 10 a.m. Dec. 22, police said, adding that copper piping and a water meter, worth a total of $500, were stolen from the basement and laundry room area of the home. 

Theft... A home in the 5900 block of Ridge Ave. was entered between 7:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. Dec. 21, police said, adding that $300 and a navigation system were taken from the home. 

Theft... A $36 state tag was stolen from a car parked in the 4500 block of Baker St. between midnight and 2 a.m. Dec. 22, police said. 

Theft... A purse, containing two wallets, two credit cards, a driver's license, digital camera and pair of sunglasses, was stolen from Kildare's, 4417 Main St., at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 22, police said.

Theft... Approximately $150 worth of scrap metal was stolen from a driveway in the 7400 block of Hill Road Dec. 22, police said. 

Theft... A purse, containing an iPhone, Coach wallet, $13 and various credit cards, was stolen from The Manayunk Tavern, 4247 Main St., between 11 and 11:20 p.m. Dec. 22, police said. The purse was on a empty chair next to the owner, police added. 

Theft... A car parked in the 800 block of Bells Mill Road was entered between 12 and 1:30 p.m. Dec. 17, police said, adding that three credit cards were stolen from the vehicle.
