Police: Late-Night Assault Reported on Cotton Street

Police say man kicked by unknown offender.

Philadelphia Police reported an aggravated assault on the 100 block of Cotton Street earlier this month.

Early Oct. 7, police responded to the Manayunk street following an altercation between two men.

At 12:30 a.m., a man told police an unknown offender kicked him in the head and face. The man didn't know the person who kicked him or why it happened.

By the time police arrived, the man had fled.

Police said the man who was kicked was transported to Albert Einstein Hospital and was not seriously injured.

Northwest Detective Division officials interviewed both the man and another witness. No arrests were reported and a detailed description of the assailant was unavailable.
