Police Reports: Thefts At Kohls & Starbucks

The following arrest information was supplied by the 5th district police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Theft ... A navigation system, worth $200, was stolen from an unlocked car parked in the 4300 block of Lauriston Street between 12 and 8 a.m. Dec. 5, police said. 

Burglary ... A resident of the 600 block of Crestview Road contacted police Dec. 3 after discovering two bicycles, worth a total of $450, were stolen from an unlocked shed, police said. 

Theft ... A Philadelphia man was arrested Dec. 5 after he attempted to steal a $50 sweatshirt from Kohls, 8500 Henry Avenue, police said, adding that the man was approached by a store employee but took off running. He entered a vehicle but was stopped by police and positively identified, police added.

Theft ... The right front window of a car parked in the 5800 block of Ridge Avenue was reported broken at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6, police said, adding that there was damage to the middle console but nothing appeared to be missing. 

Theft ... A resident of the 4000 block of Hermitage Street contacted police Dec. 6 at 11:30 a.m. after he saw two men, believed to be teenagers, steal a carton of cigarettes from his porch, police said.

Theft ... The window of a car parked in the 4100 block of Churchview Street was broken between 12 and 8 a.m. Dec. 7, police said, adding that a $200 navigation system was stolen. 

Theft ... A Philadelphia woman contacted police Dec. 6 after discovering that her wallet, containing numerous debit and credit cards, was stolen from Starbucks, 4415 Main Street, police said, adding that her cards were used to make several unauthorized purchases. 

Theft ... The window of a van parked in the 8000 block of Minerva Street was smashed Dec. 6, police said, adding that home theater equipment, a drum set, two rugs furniture and a box of personal items, worth a total of $10,000, were stolen. 

Theft ... A resident of the 7500 block of Lawn Street reported that between Nov. 28 and Dec. 5, $8,960 worth of jewelry was stolen from her bedroom, police said. 

Burglary ... The rental office of the Domino Lane Apartments, 449 Domino Lane, was kicked in between 2 and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 7, police said, adding that $865 cash was stolen from the office. 

Theft ... A $2,500 laptop was stolen from the 100 block of Osborn street at midnight Dec. 8 while the resident of the home went out and left three males at his apartment, police said. 

Theft ... The window of a car parked in the 6700 block of Ridge Avenue was broken Dec. 8 between 7:30 and 10:30 p.m., police said, adding that a $200 Ipod was stolen. 

Theft ... Between Nov. 19 and Dec. 8, a home in the 7900 block of Henry Avenue was entered and $2,350 worth of items, including a flat screen television, vacuum and power drill, were missing, police said. 

Theft ... Between Nov. 29 and Dec. 9 an apartment in the 600 block of Cathedral Road was entered and $3,500 worth of jewelry were taken, police said, adding that there were no signs of forced entry.
