Police Seek Man Who Robbed Roxborough Deli, Beat Employee Unconscious
According to Philadelphia Police, a man robbed the M&M Deli, located at 458 Markle St., around 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Police are looking to identify a man who robbed a Roxborough deli at gunpoint and beat an employee to the point of unconsciousness during the crime.
According to Philadelphia Police, a man robbed the M&M Deli, located at 458 Markle St., around 2 p.m. Tuesday. The suspect, described as a black male in his early to mid 30s, was armed with a handgun, police said.
The suspect pointed the gun at an employee and took money from the cash register, police said. While the suspect was filling a bag with cigarettes, the employee pushed the silent alarm.

That enraged the suspect, who then began beating the employee, punching him repeatedly in the head until he was unconscious, police said.
The suspect took approximately $1,500 in cash and merchandise and fled in an unknown direction, according to Philadelphia police.

The employee was treated for a broken orbital bone and was released from the hospital, police said.
The suspect is described as having a muscular build and light facial hair. He was wearing a blue and white button-up hooded sweatshirt, a tan baseball cap with a dark colored brim, white and black sneakers and checkered black and white boxer shorts.
