Roads Will Be Closed For The Marathon Sunday

A number of roads in the area will be closed Sunday for the Philadelphia Marathon.

Whether you're running or not, the Philadelphia Marathon could affect you this Sunday. A number of roads in the area including Kelly Drive, Main Street and Ridge Avenue will be closed for the event.

Below is a list of road closures in the area:

  • Main Street, from Ridge Avenue to Green Lane, will be closed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Ridge Avenue, from Midvale Avenue to School House Lane will be closed from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • The entire length of Kelly Drive will be closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • The entire length of Main Luther King Drive will be closed from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

Sufficent police personnel will be on scene, but a release from the Philadelphia Police Department said delays are to be expected throughout the city Sunday.
