Roxborough Standoff Ends Without Injuries, Police Say

Armed man barricaded himself inside Delmar Street home Friday.

An armed standoff between Philadelphia Police and an unknown man in Roxborough ended without injuries Friday afternoon.

Police from the and SWAT team successfully removed a man from a house on the 300 block of Delmar St. Friday afternoon with no injuries reported, spokesperson Officer Jillian Russell said.

The man, who Russell said could not immediately have his name released, barricaded himself into a home with an currently unknown amount of weapons around 1:30 p.m. Friday in Roxborough.

Russell said police arrested him by 2:10 p.m. with no one injured. It's currently unclear if shots were fired or not.

Kristin Facinelli told Patch that two blocks in the immediate area were filled with police, fire officials, and men with badges.
