Thief Steals Keys, Leaves Car, Police Say

$1,400 worth of purchases are also made on a stolen credit card, police say.

Theft: On March 14, police received a report of a theft in the 6900 block of Pawling Street.  According to police, a woman claims her ex-boyfriend stole her credit card and used it to make $1,400 worth of purchases at various stores in New Jersey.  Police say that the woman said her ex-boyfriend lived in New Jersey, and that she told police that the ex-boyfriend admitted to stealing the card from her on the phone when she asked him about it.

Theft: On March 22, at approximately 9:57 a.m., police received a report of a theft in the 400 block of Krams Avenue.  According to police, the owner of the vehicle left the car running on the street when an unknown person entered the vehicle and stole the set of keys in the ignition.  Police say nothing else was stolen.
