Theft, Assault & Burglary in This Week's Police Reports

Theft ... A Honda Civic, worth $5,000 was stolen from the 100 block of Rochelle Avenue between 5 p.m. Aug. 20 and 6 a.m. Aug. 21, police said. 

Theft ... A $3,000 car was stolen from the 100 block of Lauriston Street between 1:30 and 7:15 a.m. Aug. 22, police said. 

Aggravated assault ... A woman contacted police Aug. 22 at 4:30 p.m. after another woman cut her with a knife following an altercation in the 300 block of Krams Avenue, police said, adding that the victim had minor cuts on her shoulder, arm and back and was also bitten and punched in the head during the altercation. The offender was arrested, police added. 

Theft ... A car parked in the lot at Roxborough Hospital, 5700 block of Ridge Avenue was stolen between 2 and 5 a.m. Aug. 23, police said, adding that a navigation system, stereo and subwoofer, house keys and a Coach wallet containing several bank cards, identification cards and a gun permit were taken. 

Burglary ... A home in the 7000 block of Valley Avenue was burglarized between 10 a.m. Aug. 18 and 11 a.m. Aug. 23, police said, adding that entry was gained through an unlocked first floor window. Assorted silver and gold coins, jewelry and eight wallets were taken. 

Robbery ... On Aug. 24 at 7:25 p.m. a man stole several packages of meat and T-shirts, totaling $212, from the Shoprite, 6901 Ridge Avenue, police said, adding that the man fled on foot. 

Theft ... Two cast-iron radiators, worth $200 were stolen from a home in the 200 block of Lyceum Avenue, police said, adding that a neighbor stated he saw a green pickup truck back up to the victim's gate around 10 a.m. Aug. 25 and taken the two items. 

Theft ... A $60 beer keg was stolen from a home in the 200 block of Delmar Street Aug. 25 around 12 a.m., police said, adding that the resident heard a noise in his driveway and saw men in a blue/green pickup truck take the keg. 

Theft ... A $70 oil heater system was stolen from a truck parked in the 400 block of Paoli Avenue around 7 p.m. Aug. 24, police said. 

Burglary ... A home in the 300 block of Dupont Street was burglarized between 10:40 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Aug. 25, police said, adding that a laptop, flat screen television, travel bag and $50 in change was taken. There were no signs of forced entry, police added. 

Theft ... A car parked in the 500 block of Shawmont Avenue was vandalized between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Aug. 24, police said. Both mirrors on the car were broken, there was a crack in the front windshield and the entire car was scratched, police said, adding that the car was unlocked and the radio and speaker, worth $1,200, were stolen.
