Diamond Earrings, Circular Saw Stolen From Roxborough Home, Police Say

Retail Theft: On Feb. 25, at approximately 12:55 p.m., police received a report of a retail theft at the Kohl’s located at 8500 Henry Ave.  According to police, store security observed a person in the store place several jewelry items in her handbag.  Police say that the woman then proceeded to the cash register and paid for some of the items.  Security stopped the woman outside, police say, and detained her until officers arrived.  Police value the recovered stolen items at more than $750.

Burglary: On Feb. 26, at approximately 7 a.m., police received a report of a theft from a residence in the 5800 block of Henry Ave.  According to police, several items were stolen from an apartment including a pair of diamond earrings, a graduation ring, a circular saw and a cordless drill.  Police say there was no sign of forced entry, but the police say the woman who rents the apartment recently broke up with her boyfriend who has a set of keys.
