Councilman to Open Roxborough Office Friday

Staffer Joshua Cohen to man new Ridge Avenue office.

Living up to a long-time promise, Roxborough and Manayunk's Philadelphia City Councilman will open a Ridge Avenue office Friday.

Democratic Majority Leader Councilman Curtis Jones, Jr. (4th) debuts an office in the field after a few years of promises. Staff member Joshua Cohen confirmed that the new office is set for 5462 Ridge Ave., Suite A (at Ridge and Hermit streets).

From 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, the councilman hosts a grand opening and ribbon cutting at the new office. Neighbors , located just across the street, will provide refreshments at the event.

Previously, residents would have to trek for constituent services, whereas now they can utilize the Roxborough office. Jones joins state Rep. Pam DeLissio (D-194) in staffing a Ridge Avenue field office.

Cohen, a Wissahickon resident, will mostly staff the office located just at the beginning of Roxborough.
