Curtis Jones Listed as Second Highest Paid Councilmember

In a report of top paid city employees, placed second among his City Council peers—and the 81st highest paid city employee.

Philadelphia Magazine's blog "The Philly Post" shared the top 100 city employees Friday. The councilman for Roxborough and Manayunk made $128,821 last year. 

The second-term councilman and now Democratic majority leader topped all of his peers, with the exception of Council President Darrell Clarke, who made $150,904—36th most.

According to Philly Mag, Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey ($255,000) topped the list, with Medical Examiner Sam Gulino ($239,200) in second and Mayor Michael Nutter ($202,433) in third.

District Attorney Seth Williams fell just outside the top 10, at number 11 with $168,541.

The only other elected member of City Council to crack the top 100 was Councilwoman Blondell Reynolds Brown ($126,366), who was number 91.
