Councilman Curtis Jones is one of nineteen candidates, including several other council members, who ran in this year's primary election and owe the City Commissioners office money, a report on Philly.com stated.
According to the article, Jones owes $750 for not filing some reports but the Councilman claims he never received the notification of the fines that were reportedly sent out in July.
He is in contact with the commissioners office because, the article continued, he believes he filed some of the reports correctly but stated that if it turns out it is his mistake, he will pay the fines.
