Jones, City Council Honor Living Legends

Councilman supports prolific African Americans from Philadelphia.

In honor of Black History Month, Philadelphia City Council took Thursday morning to thank notable African Americans who have bettered the city.

Councilman Curtis Jones, Jr. (D-4) co-sponsored a resolution announcing the recipients of the "Living Legends" honor for 2012:

Rev. Dr. W. Wilson Goode, Sr. Walter P. Lomax, Bill Ellerbee, Dr. Walter Palmer, the honorable Louise Williams, Dr. Audrey Bronson, Robert Bogle, Sonia Sanchez, Queen Mother Falaka Fattah, Mary Mason, Sonny Hill, and Gamble & Huff.
