Kendrick Recreation Center Improvements on the Way

The Kendrick Recreation Center will undergo substantial improvements in the next few months.

The Kendrick Recreation Center will soon undergo a massive overhaul.  Here's a breakdown of everything that's scheduled to happen provided by Councilman Curtis Jones' office.

Roof

A brand new roof was recently installed at the facility.  As you know, Kendrick is an aging facility and a new roof was criticial in maintaining the structure.   We will continue to work with the Department of Parks and Recreation (PPR) maintenance unit to patch the parts of the roof that were not part of the capital improvement.

This is the project that is currently taking place.    Community feedback indicated that there was little desire for tennis courts so instead new basketball courts are being installed for use by the entire neighborhood

The baseball and softball fields have been remarked and regrounded.

A marked parking lot will now be in the back.  This will allow for more organized parking.  Additionally, a green space with trees will also be added.
