Neighborhood Council to Discuss Apartment Conversion

The Manayunk Neighborhood Council will discuss a possible apartment conversion on Ripka Street.

The Manayunk Neighborhood Council will discuss a proposed apartment conversion at 114 Ripka Street on Wednesday.

A developer recently purchased the single-family home and wants to convert it into three apartments.

The property has six garages on it, and each unit would be given one garage a piece.

The plan also calls for a conversion of the garage roof to a patio, and the construction of decks on the second and third floor.

The council will also discuss a the conversion of the St. Lucy's property and parking lot at 144/149 Green Lane.

The council already approved the project at its March meeting, but developers will be on hand Wednesday to answer any further questions.

The Manayunk neighborhood council will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, at the Manayunk Development Corporation offices located at 4312 Main Street.
