No Movement on 15 Home Proposal

A plan to build 15 homes in the 3800 block of Terrace Street was discussed Monday by the Wissahickon Neighbors.

The Wissahickon Neighbors Civic Association met on Monday, and plans for construction of 15 new homes in the 3800 block of Terrace Street were not discussed.
"I think that we'll be in opposition to this plan," said new civic president David Wilby.  "But we can't figure out how we'll tackle that until we see a plan."

Last month developers presented a plan that calls for the demolition of Terrace Hall, and 15 homes constructed on that lot.

A previous plan had called for 50 condos to be constructed on that lot.

Under the current proposal, nine houses would be built with frontage on Terrace Street, and six houses would have frontage on Sharp Street.

The proposal also calls for the elimination of 10 parking spots on Terrace Street for driveway curb cuts and two parking spots on Sharp Street.

Under the current proposal, each house would have no more than three bedrooms and each house would have a roof deck.

No zoning hearing has been scheduled for this project.
