Obama's NW Philly Headquarters to Open

They will open in West Oak Lane on Wednesday.

President Obama's reelection campaign headquarters in Northwest Philadelphia will officially open on Wednesday.

They will be located in West Oak Lane at 7171 Ogontz Ave. In 2008, they were at 7102 Germantown Ave. in Mt. Airy.

The event is open to the public. Those who are there will hear from speakers like Obama for America National African American Outreach Director Stefanie Brown, Obama for America Deputy Operation Vote Director Michael Blake and area elected officials.

It will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The office will serve as the community hub for the organization’s activities in Northwest Philadelphia and is the seventh such office in the state.

Campaign officials said the office will be a community gathering place for Obama supporters. Canvassing will take place there, and it will be open regularly starting Wednesday
