Photos: Obama Campaign Offices Open

Local office held ceremony Wednesday.

President Obama re-election staff and volunteers were joined by more than 300 supporters and volunteers at 7171 Ogontz Ave. for the grand opening of Organizing for America PA's new Northwest Philadelphia office.

Mayor Michael Nutter, state Rep. Dwight Evans (D-203), and other local elected officials joined the festivities.

The Northwest Philadelphia field office is the seventh OFA PA office to open in Pennsylvania and will serve as the community hub for the organization’s activities for the 2012 election cycle.

“The stakes in this election are very high. No matter which Republican wins the nomination, they each have the same goal: to reverse the progress we’ve fought for and return to the same failed ideas that contributed to the economic crisis,” Evans said during the event.

“It is our job to stand together and fight to keep President Obama in office and keep our country moving forward."
