Routine Construction Work Brings Periodic Main Street Traffic Delays

Routine construction could periodically disrupt traffic in Manayunk this week, but shouldn't have any major effects.

Stationed at Main Street and Levering Street, a Philadelphia Police officer said Wednesday the work will continue through Saturday. Daily routine work between Grape and Levering Streets should occur outside of rush hour—after 10 a.m. and ceasing near 4 p.m.

The road is not closed. Occasionally, crews will hold up motorists while construction vehicles operate, but nothing will happen long-term.

The shops along Main Street are open.
