Roxborough Son Elected to East Norriton Office

Democrat takes office in Montgomery County town.

John Zurzola may have left Roxborough, but he hasn't gone too far. The Roxborough native and lawyer now is well established in nearby East Norriton, Montgomery County.

Following another successful November election, Zurzola, a Democrat, was sworn in as chairman for the East Norriton Board of Supervisors. He has been on the board since 2009, but this is his first stint as chair.

Zurzola, who works at law firm Willig, Williams & Davidson, was also appointed solicitor to the Montgomery County Treasurer, Jason Salus.

Salus on his fiduciary duties as custodian of all county funds, in his role as Chairman of the County Investment Board, Treasurer of the Employee Retirement System, member of the Depository Board and as Director of the Tax Claim Bureau."

Now an East Norriton man, Zurzola grew up in the Roxborough-Manayunk area and attended the now closed St. Lucy Catholic Grade School in Manayunk and now merged Archbishop Kennedy High School in Conshohocken. According to his LinkedIn profile, he attended Temple University, the Saint Joseph's University—Erivan K. Haub School of Business and Widener University School of Law.
