SEPTA Train Replaced By Bus for Some Weekend Service

Altered by work on overhead wires and tracks, the SEPTA Manayunk/Norristown Regional Rail Line will offer bus shuttle services this weekend at some stations.

The transit agency said starting Saturday rail service from Elm Street station in Norristown to Wissahickon station will be replaced by a shuttle bus. However, some train service will continue in that span—so, the schedule is a little convoluted.

Passengers will board the bus at Elm Street, Main Street (Norristown), Norristown Transit Center, Conshohocken, Spring Mill, and Manayunk for a trip to Wissahickon station, where they will then continue on a train. Shuttles will similarly operate on return trips.

No stops will occur at Miquon Station at all.

However, train service will also be offered at Manayunk Station—to and from Center City. No buses will go to Ivy Ridge station, but the train will begin and end there.

Normal regional rail service will begin at Wissahickon and continue into Center City. 

The work is scheduled every so often through the end of March. Impacted days include: Jan. 5, 6, 12, 13; Feb. 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17; and March 23 and 24.
