State Rep's Trial Continued

Although state Rep. Cherelle Parkers, D-200th, was supposed to begin Monday morning, it has been continued until Aug. 22.

More than two months after state Rep. Cherelle Parker, D-200th, was charged with DUI, her trial was supposed to begin Monday morning at the Criminal Justice Center on Filbert Street. But it didn't, instead it was continued until Aug 22.

The state representative, whose district includes Andorra, was with DUI in early May.

Earlier reports state that Parker was arrested in the 5800 block of Baynton Street in Germantown. She was given two chemical breath tests after she was pulled over but the results were not released.
