State Senator Hosts Roxborough Office House

Sen. Vincent Hughes offers local constituent services starting Friday.

One of Roxborough's state senators will offer a little more local connection this fall.

State Sen. Vincent Hughes (D-7) plans to staff a constituent services employee at , according to Joshua Cohen, special adviser for the councilman.

In the coming weeks, Tiffany Wilson, director of constituent services for Hughes, will have office hours in both of Jones' district offices, including 5462 Ridge Ave. in Roxborough.

Cohen said Wilson can help with issues like:

  • Department of Public Welfare benefits
  • PennDOT issues
  • Birth certificate applications
  • Unemployment  issues
  • Various state licensing

She plans to continue the Roxborough office hours every other Friday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Dates include: Oct. 19, Nov. 2, 16, 30, Dec. 14, and 28.

Wilson also will be at Jones' Wynnefield office, 5398 Wynnefield Ave., every other Wednesday beginning Oct. 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hughes, who represents portions of Philadelphia and Montgomery Counties, has a district office at 4950 Parkside Ave. Suite 300.
