Three Driveways Coming to Kingsley Street

The Wissahickon Neighbors Civic Association voted in favor of an ordinance that would allow for the construction of three garages on Kingsley Street.

The Wissahickon Neighbors Civic Association voted on Tuesday in favor of a zoning ordinance that would allow three homes to be constructed with garages on the 100 block of Kingsley Street.

The developers wanted to include a garage on the property as a way to save some of the parking spots that currently exist on that street.

The homes would be built at 137-41 Kingsley St., and there is already no parking on that side of the street.

The curb cuts for the driveways to the garage would not eliminate any existing parking spots.

Several residents expressed concerns about the inclusion of roof decks on all three of the properties.

The developer said that roof decks make the property more desirable, but that they had reduced the size of the deck to accommodate privacy concerns.

The homes would be three stories tall with the garage and a bedroom/den on the first floor.

The second floor would be living room and kitchen, and the third floor would have two bedrooms and two bathrooms.
