Voter Registration Deadline Fast Approaching

Given the fact that the primary election is just around the corner, Roxborough-Manayunk Patch wants to take this opportunity to remind everyone to register to vote.

The deadline to register if you would like to participate in this year’s primary election is Monday April 18.

Voters interested in voting in either the Democratic or Republican primary races on May 17 must register by Monday.

Pennsylvania is a “closed” primary state, meaning you must be registered as either a Democrat or Republican in order to be eligible to vote in the primary election.

Those registered independent or third-party cannot vote in the primary.

Pennsylvania residents have until the close of the business day Monday to either register to vote, change their party affiliation or notify voting officials of an address change.
