Wendy's Hearing Tentatively Scheduled for Nov. 6

The time for the hearing may change due to the amount of interest in this project.

The Philadelphia Zoning Board of Appeal hearing for the proposed Wendy's at 5901 Ridge Ave. is tentatively scheduled for Nov. 6, at 4 p.m.

On Wednesday, Josh Cohen from Councilman Jones's office said that the meeting might be rescheduled due to the amount of interest in this hearing.

If the meeting is rescheduled there will be a concerted effort by the councilman's office, the civic organizations and Patch to ensure that the new date and time is relayed to the public.

The zoning meeting is necessary in order for the Wendy's to have a drive-thru.  The property located at the corner of Roxborough and Ridge Avenues is already zoned for a restaurant, but developers need a special exception from the city to have take-out and a drive-thru.

Residents for or against the project are encouraged to attend the meeting on Nov. 6 at 4 p.m. at 1515 Arch Street, 18th Floor.
