What Do You Want To See In Pretzel Park?

The MNC discussed the park's spring line-up at its meeting Wednesday.

Although the weather outside is getting frightful, the Manayunk Neighborhood Council is already thinking spring.

The civic association discussed some activities that could be planned for Pretzel Park in the spring with a $1,000 activities grant it received.

"We know we want to have a music program and work on the dog park," Kevin Smith, the council's president said at its meeting Wednesday, but he left the rest of the brainstorming up to meeting attendees.

Other ideas that came out of the meeting included a flea market, movie night and concert series.

"We need to get organized," Smith said, adding that the council is looking for people to volunteer at spring events as well as donate their time to planning and organizing.
