Charter School Gets New Virtual Look

Green Woods Charter School updates brand before moving into its new school.

The last few years have been ones of transition for the now-Manayunk based Green Woods Charter School. However, with a new school on the way on Domino Lane in Roxborough, the environmentally focused K-8 school nears facility stability.

To precede the move into the new campus at the former Keenan's Valley View Inn, Green Woods unveiled its new branding and website this week.

“Green Woods Charter School took great steps forward in 2012 toward finally realizing our vision of having our own school building and our very own outdoor learning lab for our students,” CEO Jean Wallace said. “This new look commemorates our growth and celebrates the indomitable strength of the Green Woods community.”

Williamstown, N.J.-based Adamus Media created the branding that calls on the school's earth-first mentality. Wallace said the new logo depicts an evergreen tree, rooted within the school’s GW initials, “a fitting symbol of our strength and determination."

The redesigned website, which keeps the same URL (www.greenwoodscharter.org), serves as the hub for Green Woods school news.
